West-Crete is very green, you can see here many trees, olive groves, bushes and even orchids. Several paths, small goat-paths en old roads give us lots of walking possibilities.

Everywhere you see and hear sheep and goats up in the mountains. You often see birds of prey like the bearded vulture and the lammergeyer. During the walks you meet many culture- and historical remains, such as abandoned villages, Venetian forts and Byzantine churches.
In the small and romantic villages you still find the Cretan hospitality and friendliness.

PROLONGATION: Would you like to stay longer? This walking-holiday can be prolonged with a stay at the North of Crete, in the region Apokoronas.
Here you will stay at the village Georgioupoli in an A-Class studio or apartment, with kitchenette and bathroom. Here you can relax at the long sandy beach (9 kilometres).

In this region it is possible to make walking-trips. The city Rethymnon is worth a visit and can be reached by bus easily. You can also visit the beautiful city Chania.
